De regreso a casa

Daniel de Polignac (Mexico)
The Club France of Mexico, an emblematic space dedicated in particular to Franco-Mexican cultural exchange, in collaboration with La Mille, curator and representative of international artists, presents an exhibition as part of the celebration of France Week, featuring the latest collection by Daniel de Polignac (France–Mexico).
This project explores the everyday life of Paris—mundane, harsh at times, too quickly forgotten—in order to elevate and transform it into an unfolding memory.
Daniel de Polignac, a Franco-Mexican artist, offers us a narrative of return, De regreso a casa, a journey back to oneself. The two halves of his identity converge in every subway car, every passerby, every stone—where he tells the story of his return home.
In this series, he steps away from his cubist habits and the intensity of expressionism to explore a more raw, sensitive, and poetic language, where in each captured moment he seeks to find his place.
For those who know how to pause, time suspends itself. Look: the drop on the pavement slows its fall, the screech of the subway brake becomes more musical, the breeze lifts a passerby’s hair, the flutter of wings brushes against a statue, the miracle of a passing glance.
It’s all a matter of time: time to see, time to listen, time for an inner stroll through the heart of the City of Light—Paris.
De regreso a casa is an intimate journey presented for the very first time in Mexico, where one will wander through the labyrinth of the French capital—its effervescence, its silence, its elegance, its intersection of worlds and hopes.
Welcome to Paris.
